The world's most aromatic cheese. Aged for 6 months the Appenzeller 'Surchoix' is truly a Swiss cheese delight. Appenzeller cheese is one of the very big Swiss cheese specialties. Switzerland's tangy cheese has been handcrafted according to an old tradition for over 700 years.

The gentle hilly landscape between Lake Constance and the Säntis massif with its healthy, rich herb grass provides the optimal basis for the natural raw milk with which Appenzeller cheese is made. Traditional cheese-making is just as much a part of the protected and lived customs in Appenzellerland as string music, taler swinging and peasant painters.
